No COVID-19 Case In Lagos In 24 Hours- NCDC

For a long time, Lagos State that has become epicenter of COVID-19 in the country had no reported case of the pandemic on Thursday.

Nigeria Centre for Disease Control on its official Twitter wrote ”On the 28th of January 2021, 864 new confirmed cases and 3 deaths were recorded in Nigeria.

A breakdown, according to it, shows ”The 864 new cases are reported from 24 states- FCT (129), Anambra (87), Rivers (82), Benue (80), Oyo (76), Plateau (61), Kaduna (54), Delta (51), Nasarawa (38), Kwara (36), Edo (32).

Others are Katsina (26), Kano (24), Taraba (18), Ogun (14), Sokoto (11), Gombe (10), Jigawa (7), Akwa Ibom (6), Cross River (6), Zamfara (5), Bauchi (5), Osun (4), and Ekiti (2).

”Till date, 127024 cases have been confirmed, 100853 cases have been discharged and 1547 deaths have been recorded in 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.

”A multi-sectoral national emergency operations centre (EOC), activated at Level 3, continues to coordinate the national response activities.

”Our discharges today include 164 community recoveries in Kaduna State & 102 community recoveries in Plateau State managed in line with guidelines,’’ the public health agency stated.
