Nigeria has recorded 79 new cases of the Coronavirus, the lowest figure in several months in the country.

The Nigeria Center for Disease Control (NCDC) stated this on Sunday,  said Lagos recorded 3o while Kaduna and Ogun had 17 and seven respectively.

Of the number, Anambra recorded five, Kano – four; Katsina, FCT, and Akwa Ibom had three each; Oyo and Rivers got two each while Delta, Plateau and Ondo registered one each.

The new cases now bring the number of confirmed infections in the country to 56,256, 44,152 have recovered and been discharged from isolation centers, while 1,082 have died.
